Yes, I do. I am almost 50. I wouldn’t say I’m rude to people, but I say what a majority of the family wants to say. It’s what we text about all the time, but they don’t wanna say it because some of them are younger and they don’t wanna upset anyone. Does not bother me. 99% of it is out of love. Then again, if most of the family would’ve listened to the advice of myself and a few others most of these conversations wouldn’t have to happen in life would be dull. What is the saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

I tried speaking up at work about some of the illogical decision-making and got written up.

So, with both work and my family, especially the extended family who think they're always right when they're almost never right...I'm taking a page out of Keanu Reeves' book...

"Even if you say 1+1=5, you're right. Have fun." Whether it be at work or with extended family, some people just want to feel good about themselves and be "right," even when it's illogical. Just let them feel like they're "right."

Are you able to freely speak at family gatherings?
—Yes bc the family gatherings are at my house. Now…DO I tell off family members in my house who act like Neanderthals? No, but they won’t be invited back to my house.

Do that with 1 idiot and the rest get the picture and are polite.

Yeah, the Woodlands crew I referred to caused my kids (sub 10 at the time) to have to ask my why it's OK for boys to wear girls' swimsuits after a weekend up there. They had gone to the local pool and saw a 6 or 7 year old kid with a penis was getting changed into a girl's swimsuit, and their auntie explained to them in the typical liberal fashion that normalized tranny behavior.

It’s so uncomfortable being hit with these things.

There was never a guide on chicks with dicks growing up.

Yeah, but I reserve certain topics for like minded family members. It's not like I'm going to be able to change anyone's mind about politics or whatever, so why even bring it up?

This might be the best point I’ve read in a while and it’s right in front of us.

It’s really not worth it.

The loudest and most obnoxious people in my extended family are 100% liberals. The conservatives in my family have self control.

We have an occasional liberal family member show up, but they are smart enough not to say anything. The other huge liberals in our family have been cut out of the family. I think I was the one that started the movement because life is too short to deal with that shite, and the rest followed. I raised my children to have their own opinion And to be open to other peoples opinions, but you don’t have to like their opinion. And they will state their opinion. And they also know drive to the party. If you don’t like it, you can leave just be sober. We rarely have any more issues anymore then again I haven’t been invited to the last few family parties.

There was an old southern belief that you didnt discuss poltiics and religion and personal squabbles were not to be in public.

It was really incredible now that I reflect . At the time I never knew how quickly those values would die out.

My family was a nest of liberals and I didn’t even know it. Growing up, I just knew that I didnt agree with much of their philosophy. My mother (an immigrant) was the worst; she would open and read my mail, ridicule my conservative beliefs, and much much more. I don’t need that in my life. When my American Indian father couldn’t deal with her shite and he was the basic anti-nuclear energy kinda guy (after worker for the industry for years), he went back to the rez. Left me at 13 with a mental case. One sister is a bleeding heart liberal and the other is a fat antifa wanna be.

No. I spend every minute of family visits biting my tongue.

My side: elderly parents that self isolate and watch The View and MSNBC for their information

Husbands side: lifelong secular Jews.

Why wouldn't I be? Do you just want to start dropping racial slurs or something?

I always do and have pissed off some family that isn’t used to being called out.

A good rule of thumb, if they get upset, they’re defensive and know you’re right. Everyone should do this. People need to get used to being disagreed with again opposed to just posting something on the internet for the likes.

We don’t have any lunatic leftist. At least ones that are allowed around. Too many thanksgivings and Christmases made awkward by them.

A little story: I had an uncle I really liked. He was a great person to be around. Well, he went down the Facebook politics/conspiracy theory rabbit hole. It made me think less of him and I distanced myself. Nothing overt, I just didn't talk to him as often any more. Now he's gone and I wish I had just overlooked our differences.

You can just call them apologetic Jews. They're a stain on us. Always making excuses why every pogrom that has ever happened, "you know it was really our fault all along." They think out of fear, unlike the Jews that fomented the Warsaw ghetto uprising, and most Jews not living in Tel Aviv in IL. They're weak, and they almost exclusively exist in the USA and Tel Aviv. You could probably pay for them to go to Yad Vashem, and they'd still make excuses. I'm sorry.
