Wouldn't that make Leviticus obsolete? I don't think Jesus ever mentions anything about men lying with men. In fact, Jesus Christ tells you to love everyone. Jesus hung out with prostitutes and other outcasted groups. Pretty sure he would favor the persecuted homosexual and be angry with the judgmental homophobe

I am but just towards gay men. The image that enters my mind when thinking of two males engaging each other physically makes me gag. Can't help it just the way it is

I posted earlier to go read Romans 1. Jesus never spoke specifically on the subject of a gay lifestyle, but it is spoken about in Scripture by Paul.
quote:
Jesus Christ tells you to love everyone.
True, and I can love people without endorsing their lifestyle. Said that earlier too.
quote:

Yep, and Christians need to be in the world, but not of the world. He hung out with them to encouraged them to turn from their wicked ways.

Jesus loved everyone equally, and gave His life for everyone equally. God is the only true judge. Not in my job description.

Jesus is God, God is Jesus
God is all forgiving
God is all forgiving

In order for a person to be forgiven, there must be repentance. Repentance means, turning ones back on a particular sin.
A person who continually practices homosexual sex, which is sinful according to the bible ( Old and New Testament) is not in repentance and therefore, not forgiven for his acts.

Well said. God is all forgiving, but for forgiveness to be given, repentance must be displayed.

But Jesus dying on the cross saved all sinners. That is the repentance. So if a homosexual believes in Christ, and we assume homosexuality is a sin, wouldn't Jesus' sacrifice in turn, save that sinner? Especially if that man totally accepts Christ in his life?

Each participant watched three four-minute videos — one of heterosexual sex, one of lesbian sex and one of gay male sex. During the videos, the men had devices attached to their penis’s to detect and measure sexual arousal.
Yawn... Who comes up with a "study" like that? Someone who has an agenda.

The gift of forgiveness, given thru Christ's sacrifice on the cross, is not a "get out of jail free card". Christ paid the ultimate price to save sinners, but there is an intentional act of choice by a sinner to accept God's forgiveness, and in turn, turn from their sinful ways.
Am I saying that there are no homosexuals in heaven? No, I said earlier, I'm not the judge, but Scripture says that lifestyle goes against God's will for his children, and He tells them to turn away from it. That's where the individuals choice comes in.
This will be my last post, no sense in arguing, Scripture is pretty clear if you read it on God's will.

I totally hated your stupid "study" post, but I'm on your side about Jesus' sacrifice being for everyone.
He had one commandment... "Love your neighbor as you love yourself"
So while there is a lot about the "gay agenda" and even flaming gay guys that make me sick... I try to be accepting of everyone , an will never intentionally hurt anyone. That goes for races, homosexuality (I draw the line at adult love and species love), and creed.

You sinned after you were saved.
You purposefully sinned after you were saved.

What two grown adults do in the privacy of their own home has absolutely no effect on me or my wife and children's lives. I honestly do not give one little squirt of shite about gays, other than the fact that they do tend to raise the property values of the neighborhood, and that's pretty cool.

Jesus' death on the cross provided an avenue for salvation but it must be coupled with faith. And one of the first demonstrations of faith is obedience. One can't be obedient to Christ when he is unwilling to forsake known sin.

Where do you get this shite? And by all means tell me what qualifications you have to judge who is obedient much less who is worthy?

The bible;
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
