A little, probably. Mainly because I think it's disgusting.

Christianists think they are being persecuted by allowing gay people the same rights they have.

I accept this rebuke, and even endorse it.

Exactly the driving force of this whole argument. Christians think they are being persecuted by allowing gay people the same rights they have. Thanks for understanding.
I really don't have a lot of sympathy for either. Neither gays or christians have it rough in the US.

quote:Thanks. I'll not let those anti-marriage, anti-American, evil, perverted, dishonest, homophobic pieces of shite hijack my faith because of something the Zondervan Corporation "translated" in 1951.
I accept this rebuke, and even endorse it.

Homosexuality is an aberrant and self-destructive lifestyle. Sorry if the truth offends you.
Posted on 9/6/15 at 6:55 pm to zelman
Same can be said about heterosexuality

Since you like dictionary definitions, perhaps you should look up the meaning of," aberrant?"

I'm familiar with the term
I was referring to how heterosexuality is just as self destructive as homosexuality

The term homophobe is bullshite.
It is no more bullshite than racist - however, it is used as a weapon to cut off debate and declare victory by those with the minority opinion.
But, there are folks for which a personal revulsion to the notion of homosexuality overrides other concerns.
I believe it constitutes only a small portion of folks with traditional views, but I could be wrong. I do not believe that tolerance requires me to celebrate it.

I always find it hilarious how people who support the gay agenda want people to support them so much and preach acceptance. But all it takes is for a individiual to say they do not agree with homosexuality they then get attacked. The term homophobe is ignorant as hell anyway. The term phobic means that you have a fear of a object or situation. Just because someone doesn't agree with that lifestyle doesn't mean they fear it.
I don't care if you are gay or not. It has zero impact on me. But at the same time I don't agree with it because it is against my beliefs. That doesn't make me a homophobe. Because I can assure you I do not fear the queers. Actually I feel sorry for them.

Would you characterize anyone who believes that homosexuality is sin as homophobic?

Again. That was very homophobic of you

quote:This rhetoric gets too much mileage. I've never preached tolerance or "don't judge" in my life. People who think you should be treated differently on marriage paperwork because you're two dudes and not a man and a woman are fricking morons, and their stupid, evil, homophobic, anti-American bullshite shouldn't be tolerated by normal people.

But

I don't agree with (homosexuality)

If a person is against rape, is this too a phobia?
