It kind of diminishes the word," phobia" when there is a phobia to describe almost every fear or so called fear.
No. It doesn't. We have words for things. It's what language is. Having a word for everything doesn't diminish anything. It just means that we have a language. Whatever connotation you infer is yours.

It's not the language that sucks. It's you.

Maybe acceptance comes with exposure? My daughter sees so many gay couples she doesn't notice a difference, I think. We live in the Bay Area and it is as common as multiracial couples or nuclear families. It becomes more of a nonissue as it represents a greater percentage. Maybe, when gay families are more commonplace in Ky. This will be less "offensive" to others.

The modern English language has been bastardized. The term "homophobia" is an assault on our vernacular because it literally makes no sense.
Right. The language is the problem. It can't just be you, can it?

I, like every other person alive sins. When I do, and I'm reminded by the Holy Spirit, I confess that sin and try through his power to not do it anymore.
There is a difference in a person who sins, confesses it, and strives not to repeat it and someone who not only refuses to stop sinning, but won't even acknowledge that what he is doing, is sin.
And I'm not your judge anyway, God is.

Phobia is a fear. So to squelch opposition, the left attaches," phobe" to any word they choose, to demonize those who oppose whatever it is they support.

This doesn't change the definition of any words. Words mean what they mean. The one in the OP applies to you. If you ha e a problem with that, that's between you and your conscience.

Be a man and stop blaming others for the fact that you can't stop yourself from being bothered by the fact that gays frick. It's not the English language, the left, the gays, God, or the government. It's you.

Better question is why are so many homos such huge bigots? Why do they care so much about acceptance from those who don't line up with their views? If they are so comfortable with themselves (which they are not) then what does my opinion matter? Your question seeking a forced blanket (whether you are looking for it or not)approval from society is proof that homos are at conflict within themselves. A person who believes in their cause or is at peace with themselves could care less about the acceptance of others. But forced blanket acceptance is all homos want rather than peace in their lives.

It could be because growing up they had been led to believe that their natural feelings were wrong and bad, and they hid in the closet. Now the "forced acceptance" is just a backlash to the poor treatment received in the past.

I'm a Christian and I don't have a problem with gays. Now, I don't care for over the top, flaming, in my face ****. But if two people of the same sex, love each other and want to marry, have at it. I'm afraid they'll find out what a lot of us already know.....it ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Saying you don't have a problem with gays, and then immediately calling them fgts isn't helping your case of not being a homophobe

It's like saying you aren't racist towards blacks and referring to some of them as the N word

They're just words man. Saying fig doesn't disqualify you from accepting them.
