This is how I've felt about my current job. The work is boring as hell, but I work 4 10s and can use my vacation whenever.

I'm leaving this job week after next, but that is because I got an opportunity to do something way more interesting for the same money and benefits, and with no commute. I'll have to work Fridays now, but that's a small price to pay to not spend 2 and a half hours in my car anymore.

I work in banking. Not particularly fond of what I do (commercial underwriter). Increased regulation hasn't helped either.

You've got to be a people person and a bit of an extravert to appreciate a job like that. Do you plan on continuing this type of work for the foreseeable future?

I'm a people person maybe that why I love it. Might switch companies.

How much of a factor was the job's monotony/boring work?

7 to 5:30 unless we have an early morning pour or have to get ready for an early morning pour. Construction company superintendent and their surveyor. I love it even though there are days I hate it.

Work from home. Travel a good bit. Work in National Account Sales for a large F500 company. Company cares too much about making wall street happy and has forgot about keeping people happy. They just made a decision last week to take away 8% of our 2014 bonus AFTER THE YEAR ENDED.

Could look for another job but the perks at this job are too good. Play golf whenever I want. Nice dinners with customers whenever I want. Get to go to any sporting event that I want to entertain customer.

Definitely a 9-5'er though. When 5pm hits, i'm hanging out with my month old daughter and wife. You won't catch me in my home office before 9am.

I frick around in excel. Usually 8-6 no lunch.

Sometimes 7-7 or some variation thereof.

I enjoy it. I usually dont know what to do with my free time when I work a 40 hour week. For now, I like the money more than the time.

I find most people that work that many hours do not manage their time very well.
