I did too. You and I topped out at the same height. My wife is 2" taller than yours. my daughter was 5'6.5 right before her 11th birthday. She stopped growing right before 6'2.

Here is the bad news for you. While I stopped growing at 6'2 and 7/8", I have shrunk with age and am now about 6'1.5. You have that to look forward to.

I think it's a statistical floor problem. A grown woman can only weigh so little

The average woman was like 141 in the 1960’s and the average man was like 163.

I thought girls grew until about 16 and boys about 18?

Girls’ growth plates typically close about 2 years after they start their period. She may level out at a taller than average but manageable height

My parents were 5’6 & 5’8. No clue where my height came from!

That is odd. Maybe you were adopted and they didn't tell you?

My mom's family is average height or slightly short but my dad's family is all tall. My paw paw was 6'6", my dad 6'4", my little sister is 5'10"

I used to joke about the mailman, but 23andme proved I have my dad’s DNA My sister is 5’6 & brother is 5’11. They both have sons who are 6’4+ at 14 & 18. There are tall genes hiding out somewhere in there! I just got the 99.98th percentile.

This means that men are larger than women by a smaller percentage than they were before.

My dad is only about 5'10" while I'm 6'4" and my brother is 6'3".

Paternal GF was 6'4" however, which was very tall for his era.

I sort of think the idea that humans are getting taller due to diet is overblown. Drive around Houston and exactly 99% of the Mexican women of child bearing age are 5’2” and obese.

And assuming (being it's impossible to tell from the photograph) she's roughly average height (5'5"), she probably weighs about 90lbs. Again, assuming average height, a healthy weight for her would be around 125lbs. That's only a 35lbs difference. There are women who are 5'5" that weigh 300lbs. That's 175lbs more than the "healthy" weight.

To illustrate the problem, let's say 33% of women weigh 100lbs, 33% weigh 130lbs, and 33% weigh 250lbs. That means your median is 130lbs. 66% of women would weigh 130lbs or less. Yet, the "average woman" in that statistical paradigm weighs 160lbs.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
