Are women getting taller on average?

It doesn’t seem that uncommon to see a 6 ft tall women any more. I guess they’ll be as tall as the men in a century or two.
Another interesting side note: The average woman was like 141 in the 1960’s and the average man was like 163. Now the average woman is 170 and the average man is 195. This means that men are larger than women by a smaller percentage than they were before.

Everyone is getting taller on average, and the tall are likely getting even taller due to height not only being an acceptable, but attractive, attribute among women.

I'm in between 6'2"-6'3". Wife is about 5'6"

Girls stop growing a lot earlier than men. It wouldn't be surprising that she's about done.

Humans in general are getting taller on average. However both men and women are getting fatter at a much higher rate.

I think it's a statistical floor problem. A grown woman can only weigh so little, but there is really no ceiling, so the average gets skewed up. It's the same kind of issue you see with "average" salaries for a profession. At this point, median would be vastly more useful.

Nothing wrong with a tall woman. If she is comfortable with her height, that is even better.
