We would’ve been dealing with Russians no matter what.

we're trillions in debt and have been for decades. that's why we are done.

Usually when we are in bad shape, a major calamity happens (WWII, 9/11, etc) and it brings us all together.

COVID is our major calamity, and it's just make us further apart.

There is just so much mistrust, on both sides.

Y'all are just dramatic cry babies. This is best part of world ever.. no World War I and II or Vietnam.. technology making life more simple (at times), just 70 years ago, most people didn't have cars, microwaves, AC, now we have a device that you can verbally ask "What is the Capital of Nevada" and get an answer. There really isn't anybody who can't survive in the US. If you want a job, you can get one or have welfare. Compare this to centuries ago where people would die of starvation or one person gets a cold and the whole town is dead in 6 months. Those who speak yes of this, dad didn't make them tough enough.

We live in a country that has 55 of the top 100 universities... next closest country has 8 (China and England).. We have the highest GDP by 1.6x even though we have less than 1/4 the people of India or China.. we consistently or always win most gold and total medals in olympics. Fragile people will say America is no longer super power but according to those stats, we still by far are.

Exactly.

They have us heading down the road they want us to be on.

And the strongest weapon out there? Social media.

Next strongest weapon, the two parties.

I mentioned this before, but in the past presidential candidates used to have to reach out to the middle of the asle voters. The undecided. People who wanted to see who they think would be the better president.

But with the help of social media, both sides along with the many bots created to spread bullshite on these platforms, have made people pick a side and now its about making sure people get out an vote. And the way you get people to get out and vote is to create fear.

Both sides get out and go vote because they think that if the other side gets elected that will be the end of this country.

There are "consultant groups" who are paid to collect and analyze data to the point they can figure out exactly who they they need to target (or what areas they need to hit the hardest in order to drive THEIR message home).

The fact that something like taking a vaccine or wearing a mask are so controversial says it all. People are not willing to budge and will go down fighting over these things.

This country, both sides need to be humbled. The left has to stop with their bullshite.. White guilt, canceling and trying to force everyone to accept everyone else by shoving it in people's faces and the right (the ultra right at least) has gone full out conspiracy theorist.

People always say things like "things are getting worse, blah blah blah" and I refuse to believe that because there are a lot of reasons this is probably the best time in world history to be a live, but I have never seen this country be so divided and I like to think that things will correct itself, but if we continue on this path, we might get to a point where there is no turning back and that is a shame because this is the greatest country to have ever been built and compromising played a big part in building this country, but no one wants to compromise anymore.

Each side wants it their way and that's because of the change in people's mentality. Politicians don't give a frick, they are only worried about staying elected so they will believe in or support whatever they have to in order to stay elected and when they know there are certain topics the majority of the people they represent are passionate about, they will hit those topics home just because they know that if the people are really passionate about those topics the more likely they will get out and go vote for them.

Something has to be done.

1) Didn’t we just win the most medals at the olympics?

2) Whatcha trying to win hoss, checkers? Who are we playing?

3) Americans love to fight. We love it. It’s in our history. It’s in our DNA. Issue right now is life is pretty dang good besides covid so we just fight ourselves. If somebody did something that galvanizes the country, we always pull together to fight them.
