I went on my morning run this morning on the Northshore and it was actually cool. It was not the oppressive heat we have been having the last few months. It made the run that much better, I was like:

I think it has to be in the 50s.

There is Front Day, not First Front Day.

No this is the frickery that August/Sept fronts do to you. They make you think Fall is coming, but BOOM. There's nearly 2 more months of bullshite heat

That question is for TulaneLSU. Are him and mother drinking hot chocolate and singing hymns? If not the answer is no.

No need to be a bloody savage.
It was a traditional New Orleans holiday that has been basterdized and commercialized. Like out of season kingcakes.

This is true. It never truly cools down here until after Halloween.

If you only eat gumbo when its cold outside, you are depriving yourself.

Naw. It's just false fall.
It happens in mid-August or late August every year. Don't take my word for it.
“. . .in August in Mississippi there’s a few days somewhere about the middle of the month when suddenly there’s a foretaste of fall, it’s cool, there’s a lambence, a soft, a luminous quality to the light, as though it came not from just today but from back in the old classic times. It might have fauns and satyrs and the gods and---from Greece, from Olympus in it somewhere. It lasts just for a day or two, then it’s gone. . .the title reminded me of that time, of a luminosity older than our Christian civilization.” - William Faulkner

Are bitches wearing fur jackets and fur boots?
If the answer is no, then it is not a front
