No, you could have stopped at "!" You didn't need that last sentence.

That statement has just as much standing as the articles claims.
I tend to agree with you, but the facts are that it is already overdue. But when you are a few thousand years overdue, what's a few thousand more?

I found a couple of Shoshone arrowheads over there in that field.

While I tend to agree with your sentiment, the research on the Yellowstone caldera and supervolcano are pretty well documented. An eruption would be a bitch to put it lightly.

Do you understand what a super volcano is? That's not an exaggeration

Guys, will Los Angeles be ok? I still need all the classic movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

Uh Yellowstone would probably destroy half the country if it erupts

shite if im in the killzone in enid, ok and my friends and family survive because they are still in Louisiana im gonna be pissed
In a scenario like this where the damage is so massive, I think I would rather be in the kill zone and go immediately than just outside of it and suffer.

Yeah but thats mostly like Iowa, Oklahoma and Wyoming so who really cares...

Nah, not a fact. Yellowstone has erupted three times - 2.1 million years ago, 1.3 million years ago, and 630,000 years ago. How does that make it overdue?

Agreed!
The "Yellowstone is about to blow!" articles crop up every year or two -- and every time they are posted, the first thing I do is check the source of the article.
Not too concerned.

They pop up about once a month on the OT

Don't care.
I'm not in the "death zone" according to the article or the most popular theories.
