Are the we the dumbest group of people so far?

In 2022 we are awed when a product has the word max, plus, etc and will to dish out an extra 30% for a cell phone is is 5% bigger and has extra (1) pea size camera whole.
I never imagined when I was a get that women/men my uncles ages would be taking pictures with filters and glittery backgrounds.
I believe we are the society of comfort now and big companies are making a killing off of us now.

Of course not. As a whole humanity is exponentially smarter than their ancestors.
However, since the advent of the internet and more specifically social media, every idiot has a platform to show case their stupidity so it gives the illusion that society as a whole is fricking wrecked. I assure you decency and common sense are still alive, though they don't get clicks and likes to the standard that most meat heads like to see.

Kudos to the smart marketing guys that figured that out. Must be the smartest group of people so far.
