Yes. Pumps won’t stop that. Happens here in Houston all the time it’s just worse in NO. fricking going to be a shite show in a few days if y’all are already getting storms.

Looking at the radar and that’s a big storm just sitting over there. Happened in Kingwood and other areas around Houston about 2 months ago. These were just random pop up super cells that just hung out but dumped like 7 inches and in some spots 10 in a couple hours. Not needed in NO.

Downtown is a cluster. Poydras is still flooded in some areas. No Rain in 30 + minutes so some water receding but hundreds of cars in lines just sitting trying to get to the interstate.
And NOT ONE Cop in site to help with the traffic.

City will probably dry sometime after lunch. 6 inches in an hour and a half Can’t be handled by any pumps.

Yeah. That was four to six inches of rain in an hour or two.

It’s actually draining pretty well from where I sit.

They wii probably work until they have to use the back up generators which are probably buried in some underground tunnel and flooded. Then they will wonder how the water found them.

In the cbd there was about an hour break from the rain and it didnt seem like the water was going down at all, then suddenly about 15-20 minutes ago it started going down fast
