Are good looking people more successful than ugly people? Overall due to human bias, probably, but it isn't the deciding factor.

found that every inch of height amounts to a salary increase of about $789 per year (the study controlled for gender, weight and age).
By this calculation, someone who is 6 feet tall earns $5,525 more annually than someone who is 5 feet, 6 inches. Over the course of a career, of course, those numbers can really add up.

hypothesis is that we were genetically predisposed to selecting taller for work because they are often stronger

Think about the difference between the phrases "look up to someone" and "look down on someone."

actually No
the elongation accentuates flaws.
it's why most actors are shorter
ETA: think about selfies, they are shot from a higher perspective. Short looks better to taller, but the reverse isn't true, the lower perspective make someone look scarier.

There's a lot of discrimination that people do in our daily lives that has nothing to do with race. Attractiveness, language, voice, height, hair, etc can all cause people with identical intelligence and competency levels to be treated completely differently.

yeah, it sucks when all the actual discrimination against you is kosher, but the discrimination that other people may merely sense is taboo.
EX:
"You people are terrible at returning calls."
"What do you mean by you people?!?!?"
"Isn't this the help desk?"
HR"Kujo, we had a racial complaint against you"

Ehh. I'm very tall and short people can be very combative and biased against me for that. Some think it's cool but some see my presence as threatening their manhood.
