Statistically speaking, yes.

In my company it certainly seemed evident!

Most of Hollywood is short, so no I don't think it is true

Carlos Slim, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet. All short to average height self-made men. Some Tall people are only successful to a point, but the highly successful are usually the ones who didn't have all of the advantages of charm, athleticism and good looks. They are used to overcoming obstacles while their suave competitors get left behind. Read "The Millionaire Next Door" to see how this seems to play out over and over in business and daily life.

Are taller people more successful than shorter ppl? by Macintosh504

Tall people die sooner so there's a tradeoff.

Last week, a team of researchers led by Geoffrey Kabat of Albert Einstein College of Medicine published a study showing that each additional 4 inches of height increases the risk of all types of cancer by 13 percent among post-menopausal women.
That statistic should shock you. If we could hold all other risk factors equal—which, of course, we cannot—the average woman in China, simply due to her height, would be 13 percent more likely to get cancer than an average Guatemalan woman. Dutch women, with an average height above 5-foot-6, would be more than 25 percent more likely to get cancer than Guatemalans. And female models and WNBA players—well, the numbers look even worse for them.

Ya the average CEOs height is like 6"2. I heard Warren Buffett say a long time ago that if a company had a short CEO he was much more likely to invest because he knew that the guy must really be a stud to make it to that level as a short dude. I've tried to find it online and have had no luck but I know for sure I heard him say it.

Doubtful but it also depends on how you measure success. I have met a lot of people who make a lot of money but have none and have a met a lot of people who make a good living and are very well off.

Seems like the taller and/or more "better looking" candidate usually wins the presidential election.
Warren Harding and William Henry Harrison say hello. They were grotesquely ugly.
We also have had about eleven presidents that were less than 5'9". The shortest was 5'4".

This is the bigger issue. People's idea of success comes from how things are in Hollywood...
