Basically ISIS is the new communist threat from the 50's and 60's, it takes on a much bigger persona that what is occurring in reality.

You may be surprised how many people in Mexico have never heard of God or Jesus, much less Catholicism - especially in southern Mexico.

Good point. I guess it depends on if they wanted to bring some hardware in with them. A number of American citizens loyal to ISIS could buy weapons locally and commit a Mumbai style attack on a school, shopping mall etc without much difficulty. If they wanted to smuggle a dirty bomb they would have to get in illegally
