2. they think it seems cutesy - a common misunderstanding women have about men. We don't like cutesy, we like sexy. It is women projecting, plain and simple.

Bingo. Those filters make them look way better than they actually do without it being some obvious photoshop where they tried to fix all their imperfections.

The analogy isn't focused on the fact that women take mirror selfies too. It is focused on the opinion that most women have which is that when men do it to try to make themselves look appealing, they are really coming off as douchey or unattractive.

I posit that this is kin to women posting filters of themselves. They think it makes them more attractive when in reality we men just see them and roll our eyes.

It's like stuffing a bra...reality is such a letdown
