Spot on, but that's the very average American. The world is black and white to most.
That is what bothers me so much about the situation.

It has devolved into a situation of either:

1. Shut down the world or

2. Do nothing at all.

And you can’t reason with people who have a binary 1 or 0 mindset.

And no I’m not — and I know of 4 but that said, I’m notnok with people dying in car accidents and I don’t think that we shouldn’t have cars.

Bingo..

"OMG you're ok with millions dying" doesn't equate to wanting to responsibly open up businesses, but simpletons like the OP don't get it.

Seems that way

Dumb. To prevent from getting a virus you would have to hide from the outside world for YEARS, maybe even hundreds of years. It's not like you can drive up to the clinic and pay to have the virus removed from you because you went to the park and licked all of the public toilets. You chose to leave the house, go to the park, and lick the toilets. See how dumb your premise is ?

Youre wrong. I completely get it. And I’m ok with nuanced thought. I just think it’s funny that the same people who are dead set against killing unborn fetuses are ok with a percentage of deaths if the economy gets opened back up. I am not an abortion advocate nor am I one that is against opening up businesses in a smart way. I am against most of the idiots on this board who act like Covid is nothing and we should be ok with “acceptable” losses.

Tens of millions worldwide will starve to death if we don’t open back the economy to some extent.

You realize more people would die from a depression than from this virus ? Do you also realize if you don't want to leave your house no one is making you ? You are free to stay shut in for as long as you choose. Life is a risk, abortion is a choice. No one wants people to die from this but the idiocy of believing we can shut it down by crashing the economy for months is completely absurd.

You have proof of this?

Actually I work in healthcare and have seen the effects of this virus. I have been at work nonstop during this time.

I don’t want to crash the economy either, but I also don’t believe in letting people go back to work bc they’re “tired of being at home”. I’m fine with people going back to work but opening bars, restaurants, and sporting events should not be a priority.

It’s funny you observed it that way...my observation has found it ironic most people who are yelling for the importance of life during this are pro abortion.

Also, if you get COVID-19, there’s a 98-99 percent you survive. The odds are the reverse of that for a baby that’s aborted.

I don't know. But dying and being killed are two different things.

At least 10,000 additional suicides the year after the 2008 crash.

Increased homelessness of 40% in cities like NY and Boston, among others after 2008.

And 2008 is a bull market compared to what we have done.

On top of that, there is the global impact.

I believe the UN has ulterior motives, but I do agree with their predictions that thousands of children will suffer and die in the next few years because of the economic impact of this.

Well, if you supported the economic shutdown, you did take part in crashing the economy.

And people need to go back to work because we don’t need to turn 25% UE into 40%.

Really? Do I really think grandma who died in a nursing home at 95 would rather have lived one more year for the price of her children and grandchildren’s finances, lives, and dreams to go down?

By this stupid arse logic, people who want to reopen the economy must be okay with murder.

And people who think we need to do anything to save lives should also be adamantly opposed to abortion or even birth control.

If those sentences don’t make sense, then you should realize how stupid this premise is.
