Not sure, but a new MO for a certain group is to move to a city/area, ruin it with terrible policies, and then flee when the area’s living situation becomes untenable because of the policies that were implemented.

Is this one of those stats where people are “leaving Austin” but are really just moving to other places in Travis county like Pflugerville and Round Rock?

The folks leaving Austin are the ones they don’t want to have there in the first place

looks like home prices peaked in mid 2022 and after a big drop right after there has been a very slow slide downward

Where is Babytac to argue that RTO is great for Austin? All the people that could only afford to work for Dell, FB, Apple, Whole Foods, and live in San Marcos or past Georgetown will get canned or quit. Good.

I can foresee day when I leave Austin because it is getting too expensive. My mortgage went up $1200 from the previous month mainly due to property tax increase. That stung a bit.

Sadly this is wrong. People are leaving because the people they don't want are living in tents and cardboard boxes all over downtown.
