I'm talking about the ones our Granddads fired up back in 1964. They were equivalent to one-quarter stick of dynamite.

Happy New Year!

They were all over Silk Road when it was relevant. No where in the US for sure.

Wish they did. My dad still tells us stories about how they flushed those down dorm toilets back in his day.

Why don't you just get quarter sticks of dynamite?

This is a myth, fwiw. It is not even comparable to a quarter stick of dynamite.

they were nowhere near a 1/4 stick of dynamite
they were about 1.5" long in a red cardboard tube with about 3 grams of flash powder

And you can still find them from time to time. Friend gave me a few ten years ago and I lit one at a time because they were so loud the cops came down the street. Lit one on my driveway and it spoiled the top of the concrete. Need to call that guy.

That makes since. He's in New Orleans but has a bunch of farmer friends. Interesting.

Mike, your dad is correct. Those M-80s would do a number on a schoolhouse commode but not nearly as much as a cherry bomb.

Cherry bombs were not as powerful as an M-80.

How about some of those Field Artillery round explosion simulators like they used to use in Basic Training? The explosive device simulates a near miss from artillery fire.

Why don't I make my own M-80? The ladies are impressed by BRAND NAMES not home made stuff. I want my social media festooned with pictures of genuine M-80 explosive. DANGER. Not for private re-sale. The whole nine yards.

SOMEBODY has got some M-80s for tomorrow night! Come on and share a pic !

Making homemade fireworks is trashy. REAL genuine M-80 explosive devices are classy.

You trashy, baw?
