I’m not a coonass so it doesn’t bother me, but I do know a few people that are offended by the term. I wonder if this attitude was passed on from their parents?

I grew up in South Louisiana but I'm probably not technically a coonass. My mom is from the Midwest and my dad's family is from Mississippi. I am half French though.
