Unless you are Mark Leblanc from 4x4 life it will.
I enjoy my freedom hard top.

Same. I think a 4 door wrangled will be my next ride.

Not in a hurry though. My current ride (Chevy suburban) is paid off.

I do it every day...only a motorcycle comes close.

I just sold my 2004. Daily drove for 5 years and offroaded for 10 years. One of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. It also held its value better than any other vehicle I have owned.

I wasn't aware that "soccer moms" concern themselves with the greatly improved towing capacity that comes with a longer wheelbase.

Not to mention the fact that I'm not sticking my 17 foot canoe on top of a 2 door little toy.

Well, I guess I did just mention it, as well as the fact that if you're driving a 2007, your engine is underpowered.

But if you're a chick who lives near a beach, forget everything I said. You're good to go.

What 2 door do you have? If it isn't a CJ then you need to stop looking down on other JK owners.

Let me know when this happens. I've done most of the trails around Telluride and Ouray.

Yes and yes. I wouldn't want to waste all the money I've invested in tools to tear apart and put my Jeep back together.

Had the 2 door. My next Jeep will be a 4 door. I like the extra wheel base for riding trails in the mountains and extra space for long camping trips.

It's a shame what's happened to the Jeep brand in the last decade or so. I had a 1997 Jeep Cherokee that was still humming along at 300,000 miles.

The AMC Straight Six engine was simply indestructible.

Dat short wheel base bro. If you want something wider and longer, trucks are for you.

Yes that short wheel base is why every serious 2 door rock crawler you see has been stretched and 4 linked.

Jeeps are made by Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat. No, they are not reliable.

Why anyone would choose a vehicle that loud and uncomfortable for everyday driving is beyond me.

I'm on my second jeep currently. First was a 03 5spd 4.0 with soft top and I swore I'd never drive a 4 door for all the reasons listed in this thread, then in April I went and test drive and eventually bought a 2017 4dr with hard top and man is it nice. a week after we bought it we drove up to Gatlinburg. The extra creature comforts in the 4 dr are really Nice.
