I can understand reliability goes down with off-road use, but what about just ordinary driving.

8-10K miles a year?

Better than a Ford or a Fiat.

Worse than almost anything else.

You don't buy a Jeep Wrangler if reliability is your #1 priority.

I love my Jeep and all...but I also made sure I got a really good extended warranty with it.

I've had mine almost 4 years...it has 47k miles on it. No major issues so far. Had a little oil leak and brought it in....some recent known issue that was covered under my warranty so didn't cost me a penny to fix it.

Are you going to frick with it? Abuse it or lift it?

If no, then you are good.

Depends on the year of course.

Exactly. 2012 or 2013 and newer. I can never remember the year.

I got an 05 with 72k miles on it. Change the breaks. Change the fluids. Zero issue beside my soft top finally leaking a little bit.

And don't be a soccer mom.. 4 door jeeps are blasphemous

Or really awesome when you want to pack up and go camping and still fit your gear, your SO and dogs.

They are pretty fun to drive imo.

ETA: Mine is also a Sahara. Unless you want to do a lot of serious off-roading...there is no need to get a Rubicon. The Sport/X or Sahara are perfect for driving around and some occasional off-roading.

How much shite you hauling around? I fit all of that easily in mine.. The whole purpose of a jeep is a short wheel base. Extending it with a second set of doors ruins that. Might as well get a Cherokee or a truck.

If you ever want to catch an lsunurse set a trap with a thread inside it that talks about Jeep Wranglers, Costa Rica, weddings, and pugs.
