I've been using DSC executive razor for a while now. To me, it's better. Blades last a while and I never really have a rough shave.

You can get a 6 blade Dorco razor (same as DSC) with 10 extra cartridges and free shipping through Slickdeals.

Semi-unrelated but is that safety razor that rick harrison(pawn stars) advertises any good?

Cheap copy of an old Gillette. It is a Weishi Razor. Reviews of it are fine. If you ever get hold of a vintage Gillette though you will feel how cheap it feels in your hand.

Vintage gillettes are indestructible. The Pawn Star razor is a Gillettte Super Speed are similar.

There was an ad on the page for Harry's Razors. Anyone tried them ?

I use Harry's. Its much cheaper and you get about the same shave as Gillette. Their cream is great too.

switched to double edge razors about 4 years ago and will never consider another cartridge razor. Much better shave and cheaper.

Is it difficult to get used to this type of razor? Did you cut yourself while getting accustomed to it? I shave my head and face every weekday, btw.

Tried dollar shave club and found them to be cheap junk. You get what you pay for.

Mach 3 guy here too. I'm too scruffy for cheap razors.

I have a double edge and take my time with it but for quick shaves and travel I use Dorco.com.

I use these Double Edge from Wal Marks. I also have a glass of rubbing alchol that I rinse them with. I can shave 5-6 times with 1. I either shave in the shower or use conditioner or hand soap and they work great.

Not difficult at all. I would take it slow the first few times, and it isn't something that you can really do in the shower, if you are used to shaving there.

I shave my face everyday (except weekends when I'm staying home). No experience with shaving the head.

1+. I've been using DE safety razors for 4 yrs now. Picked up the technique pretty quickly after watching a few youtube videos. As already mentioned, GO SLOW (a quiet Sat or Sun AM is best time for your first shave). Get a decent boar's hair brush, a sampler pack of DE blades, some shaving soap, a decent razor and you're good to go. Very few ever go back to the 4-6 edge blades and shaving foam after giving wet shaving a fair try. OTOH, I'm trying to learn to shave now w/ a straight razor and am having all kinds of problems w/ the technique....
