I think converse will always be cool. They’ve been around my whole life.

I think they look ok on other people, but they look goofy to me on my big feet.

I can't imagine losing a fight to someone in a pair of converse, or being pulled out of a burning building by someone wearing them (ETA: outside of their firefighter job). That said, it's a shoe for teens and early 20 kids who are having fun instead of moving into manhood. For their age group, it's cool. Not a big deal if they grow up a little later. If I saw someone 30+ in them, it would be bizarre.

They’re uncomfortable as hell compared to modern sneakers. All I’ll add.

The last pair I bought were so uncomfortable that I only wore them a few times before replacing them.

No arch support at all. Very little padding between your feet and the ground.

100% suck for working if you're on your feet all day.

Red ones do remind me of a possessed Mr. Good Guy doll.

Yes, I have multiple pairs of low tops. Silver glitter, black sequins, black with gold sugar skulls, etc. Only problem is that I have to put arch supports in them because I'm old.

On a man over 20? I'm going to go with "no". I haven't seen them on grown men that weren't dirty hippies or hipsters that wear nasty pairs older than my kids. I don't think you'll find that they're chick magnets.

You can wear what you want but when I see these things on people it makes me wonder. They are ugly as hell and look stupid.

I’ve never understood the love for those shoes. They look like clown shoes to me
