I know a good many. I guess it depends on the quality of women you associate with.

My wife (no pics) very competent when it comes to our finances (no pics).

She may be the exception not the rule.

Same here. Mrs. Booyow is diligent AF about saving and funding our various investment accounts

I am lucky in that my wife is extremely cheap. Sometimes to a fault. For instance, she brings her lunch to work everyday. She has one of those compartmentalized lunch containers that she uses daily. Whenever she brings a sandwich for lunch she will pack her bread separately inside the container inside of a Ziploc sandwich bag and make her sandwich when she is ready to eat. Yesterday she was complaining to me that when she went to make her sandwich the bread was hard and her chips at the bottom of the container were moist. The chips sucked all of the moisture out of the bread. She explained that she didn't put her bread in a Ziploc yesterday because she recycles Ziploc sandwich bags for the entire week and left it at work the day before and didn't want to waste a Ziploc bag. That is cheap.

In my bubble, I’d say the girls my age are probably better with money

Women get a lot of shite for spending, but they aren’t the ones financing boats and RVs for 20 years

The women in my family are vastly better with money and credit than the majority of men on this board.

My car payment, bike payment, and land payment are less than what my gf spends on Amazon every month.

Sounds like your competence in choosing a mate might be the issue here

My wife does all that stuff and she's awesome at it.

I don't GAF about money. It's just a tool to help others and buy cool cars.

I don't understand how someone can be well above average from an intelligence standpoint but not utilize their wealth to their advantage.

You can't comprehend that people have different priorities (regardless of perceived intellect)? And that when selecting a mate, you should probably try to find one with similar priorities? You can walk away, you know. Or put a ring on it... we will enjoy your future threads with popcorn.

my wife pretty much handles all the money. She's a banker so she kind of has to be good with money.

She handles the bills and manages the checking/credit/saving accounts.

There is very little I do except for writing myself a check and giving it to her to deposit or check our balance on my phone from time to time.

For work though, me and my brother are partners, I handle all the money.

Not what I said.

I'm more of the find a kinky, beautiful, intelligent woman and slowly alienate her with eccentricities before I trade her in for a new model after 10 years.

The thread was more about how I don't understand how someone can be ignorant of a topic which directly affects them.

That's weird, because it sounded like you were using your limited experience (and poor choices, IMO) with women to insult all women.

But to address your most recent point, I'd guess that she's not so much ignorant of the topic, but more willfully ignoring it... she just hasn't experienced whatever her financial "rock bottom" is yet.

In my experience they are on one end of the spectrum or the other.

What I mean is almost all non accountant women are ignorant overall about money. Most of those end up like you said spending way way too much. But then you have the ones like my wife who are way way too ocd about shite and freak out if a bill has been sitting on the counter for more than a day.

shite drives me nuts.

My wife is an accountant. When we got married she had a credit score over 750. Had paid all her debts off. Significant retirement and savings. She’s really good with money.
