This sounds like a classic Baptist vs Catholic thread.
Catholics win this battle. What shocks me is some people don't drink in their own home due to relatives. I doesn't get anymore beta than that.

Lots of good wine before and during. Boiled custard with bourbon afterwards.

No. Definitely not at my parents.

And not at my inlaws either, although I'll sneak outside and sip on some fine scotch with my wife's gay uncles after dinner.

One of these years they're going to get u wasted. And then it's on.

No so I'm pre-boozing at my house before we go to the inlaws.

I find it odd that you consider someone with a preference for scotch to be "too fancy for beer and wine".

My grandparents aren't drinkers so I guess out of respect the rest of the family suffers through Thanksgiving lunch with no booze. When they leave about 3 the beer and whiskey will begin to flow. Ahh I love Turkey day

Yes.
Mimosas began the day. Now, they have started mixing the Bloody Mary's. The Crown is on deck leading up to the game this evening.

None, I prefer it that way. Stopping for a couple of hours then I have a three hour drive home.
