I think you could make that argument about the Sphinx, but not the pyramids. There is a clear, natural evolution of construction of pyramids in Egypt that lead to the ones at Giza. The Egyptians learned those construction techniques over hundreds of years.

There is some strong evidence that the Sphinx was exposed to centuries of water erosion that cannot be accounted for during Egyptian times.

Tepe is estimated to be 12,000 BC. Way older than these structures.

I think the biggest error modern humans make is equating a technological society with an advanced, sophisticated society. I would venture to guess that in the last 100,000 there were at least two or three very advanced human societies lost to time.

It’s 4900- 3100 or 4900 - 2600. Not 3100-2600.

You are comparing the wrong numbers.

I minored in Anthropology in the 90's. Today, just about everything that was taught as conclusive fact is wrong. Today, I know no more about Anthropology than someone who can spend 30 minutes on google, despite all those lectures, papers, and books, oh so many books.

Watered down textbooks teach these things as conclusive facts but in many academic journals they are not stated as definitive facts but more like best evidence. But to your point, anyone who wonders why there is a lag between discovery and accepted knowledge should read Thomas Khun's book on the nature of scientific revolution.

Basically it balls down to older generations need to be replaced by newer generations that are more open to ideas. It is dangerous for an established scholar go to far outside the accepted known of current theory. Usually takes younger generations to hear about it and incorporate it into their understanding. But it is not the individual, it is the generation of scholars the need to be moved to move the needle.

The Nephilim built the pyramids, so yeah they’re much older.

And… used them to pick up hot human chicks? The Pyramids were an ancient version of the Shaggin’ Wagon?

Was watching something the other day where a guy built tunnels and an underground bunker in his back yard. When they have particularly dry summers, the grass dies in the shape of the underground structure first and that was happening to him. Ties to this story a bit in that he mentioned that's how they found a lot of the Roman sub-structures/foundations that were in England. A dry summer suddenly shows a detailed outline of something built on that site 1000+ years ago.

My dead grass just shows where my dog likes to piss.

Hancock is a joke. To suggest that there were some civilizations that were relatively advanced that we dont know about is plausible, even probable.

His theories about advanced technology tens of thousands of years ago are flat out goofy, easily disproven by people who actually know what they are talking about.

Hancock exists to sell books to people who like to buy their fantasy in the nonfiction section. Respect to him. He's likely a millionaire by now.

Appropriating other peoples shite and claiming it as their own seems to be a nasty little African trait.
