all bought in 2009 for new house:
bosch dbl ovens
bosch cooktop (electric)
K/A french door fridge/freezer (NO icemaker)
K/A dishwasher
Whirlpool upright freezer
K/A undercounter icemaker.
jenn air vent hood
only the icemaker bit the dust around the 10 yr mark.
still using the washer dryer from 1994
bosch dbl ovens

Yeah my parents had a set of those for like 2 years. That was maybe a decade ago and I'm still rocking the maytag set that they gave me when they "upgraded" to the LG set.

Great thing about gas, very few electronic parts to crap out and even if the igniters fail I can still strike a match until I get a replacement part. My washer, dryer, and fridge are all 15+ years old and are no frills/commercial-grade units. Dishwasher is an older Kenmore with mechanical dial and no electronics. Only thing new is the disposal and I put in a 1.25hp Luxury Line I picked up from a local supplier. One reason people keep having issues with appliances is because they keep buying junk from large retailers. I replaced my fiancée's mother's laundry room water heater two weekends ago, got a Rheem Professional Classic for the same price if I had gone to Home Depot and pucked up a Rheem Performance with my military discount. Little bit better water heater with the backing of a local shop.

Been n my house 17 years. Same refrigerator,dishwasher,cooktop (gas),double oven,dryer, and water heater. Second microwave and washer.

Kenmore makes nothing, you can look at the model number, it will tell you what company makes the appliance.

Damn dude, you either don’t do any research before buying or you have terrible luck.
We’ve been in this house going on 15 years now.
Estate washer and dryer, zero breakdowns (granted, we only do 3-4 loads per week), bought new when we moved in.
12 year old huge Kenmore stainless steel refrigerator with freezer on the bottom that has the largest ice tray I’ve ever seen in a fridge. Easily 10 lbs of ice.
Dacor double convection oven still going strong, came with the house.
Bosch 5 burner gas stovetop we installed when we moved in.
Whirlpool dishwasher we replaced soon after we moved in.
Frigidaire over the stove microwave that’s probably 10 years old.
The only “failures” we’ve had were about 10 years ago when lightning struck our house. Fried one flat screen TV, the circuit board on the Dacor double oven, and the igniters on the Bosch stove top. Insurance paid to have the appliances fixed and replaced the TV.
Basically, don’t buy any appliance that claims to be “High Efficiency” or has unnecessary electronics.

Could also be bad habits in usage. My mother killed a circuit board on her Wolf double oven by leaving the door ajar to let the oven cool after baking something. That allowed hot air to get pulled across the circuit board by the internal cooling fans, a $400 mistake. I've had to tell my fiancee' and her mother not to do the same, something I guess people learned to do from their parents but is simply not done with newer ovens that either have fan-cooled controls or have dedicated exhaust path to let the heat out without damaging the controls.

If so, get an electrician to check it dude. That’s just an insane amount of appliances crapping out.

This. Never buy expensive stuff. The $3 grand fridge isn’t going to last any longer than the $1200 model.
Go through all the appliance reviews. Every single one of them have a bunch of “This is junk and never should have been built” reviews, along with tales of how the manufacturer tried to stonewall warranty enforcement.

I only buy from Stanton’s in BTR, they service everything they sell. They don’t handle LG and Samsung for a reason.

Had a Samsung repairman tell me that I should consider myself lucky if I got 10 years out of their refrigerators, washers, or dryers.
I have an Amana Radarange in the basement that works great. My mom bought it in 1967.

Thanks for all the feedback, I'll take the good and the abuse and get an electrician/electric company to check out the house.
Never thought about it much until the most recent one. But yes, looking back on almost all of them with the exception of two washers & dishwasher which were mold related, the oven my wife blew up and and maybe the sump pumps (they seemed to suffer more from corrosion).
