It might be ok if their phones lasted 30 months without becoming a slow useless brick. I’ve had an iPhone 6 as my work phone for almost 2 years. This damn thing is slow as hell. I’ve gotten so aggravated at it lately that I’ve wanted to throw it against the wall.

I've switched to BLU phones. Buy them at Wal Mart. They have several different screen sized, I have the 6" screen, it runs the latest Android OS and is like $150 . the 5" one is like $50. They work great. I've had mine for 2.5 years no, n problems, none. Runs like it did the day it was new. The smaller ones are a little slower, but adequate.
They are unlocked world phones, will not work on Verizon.
Then I just pay $40 a month for each line no other costs, no contracts, no hidden BS.

Avocado toast with pickled red onions, capers, and fresh cracked black pepper with a cold drip black iced coffee with chickory and a good book on a cool patio is the perfect way to start a Sunday morning
False. Bacon coffee and a Bloody Mary is the correct way to start a Sunday

FIFY
updates after each new phone release slowly kills it's predecessors.

Well it's true. Why should they price it lower when people are going to buy it anyway? This is capitalism. When you allow yourself to become a sheep this is the price you pay.
Because there's a sweet point, where if they overprice they are going to lose sales.
At 600 people were still oddly comfortable and happy. Hitting 1000 for a phone though, that we all know will have issues shortly and lacking any ground breaking new features, may be a little too far.

Nonsense, we all know that Apple is marketing their new phones towards people who truly can't afford a $500 , let alone a $1000 phone, but will buy one anyway if they can finance it. SO the price point becomes irrelevant. Anyone who can truly afford a $1000 phone is going to pay cash for that phone and not worry about giving up their daily $4 coffee.

I don't know about that man. Absolutely there is a segment that will do what you are getting at. I really think their sales will drop pretty significantly for this though. It's offers so little to draw in people and that figure, financed or not, will scare a lot of people away.

I still have never understood the people who purchase coffee before work. What kind of employer does not provide coffee at work???

I think breaking the $1000 point is huge for them. We will quickly see all phones make a significant price leap after the competitors see this thing sell.
FWIW, I have to admit that people pay much more for things they use much less. The fact that the average person uses the device what twenty times? a day says something. It is a valuable and, frankly, mandatory device in todays world.

Also, why do people think that the new shite on the iPhone X hasn't been on the last 2 Samsung Galaxy phones?
This is the first phone with 3D spacial mapping.

Ditch that iPhone and get yourself a Galaxy S8.

Why? So it can freeze up when you try to make a call?

Agreed, but there is no new must have, or even really neat functionality to accompany this 400 dollar price jump. Therefore won't people be happy with their still very new, yet old IPhone 7 models etc.

not to mention the amount of dependability on our phones these days and CONSTANT usage, we more than get our monies worth out of the devices.
Exactly. Someone gave me shite for using the next program at att. My phone is 27 bucks a month...less than a dollar a day. Why drop 800 bucks all at once when I can get 0% financing and pay 27 a month?
