Why so they could put another cat down instead of saving it?

If you advocate the ethical treatment of tigers, it doesn't get much better than LSU.

There are plenty of tigers in need of a good home. It's not like we trap them in the wild.

Additionally, tigers are SO endangered that responsible captivity is almost a mandate.

"...tigers don't belong in cages in stadiums."

Guess they haven't been to a game lately.

Essentially the same shite it said 9 years ago when we got THIS Mike...and LSU told them to kindly eat a dick then, and they will again.

Literally no one cares about PETA and bothering to get upset about it is as much as they can hope for, so I refuse to.

The mileage of others, as you'll see as this turns into a 10+ page thread, will vary.

I doubt LSU kills as many healthy, viable, animals as PETA does every year with their always kill shelters.

When it comes to the well being of animals I trust LSU a hell of a lot more then I do PETA.

PETA would rather all tigers die out than be kept in captivity.

Very easily refutable. The first point (and really only necessary point) is that Tigers born in captivity can not be released into the wild. So what should we do with a Tiger cub that was born into captivity? Euthanize it?

Yeah, LSU. Let Mike die the way it is meant to! By getting caught in a trap and having it's head blown off and turned into a rug!
