Not sure a boat that size has an anchor.

Putting the anchor down (if they had one) would be a terrible decision.

Would rather be on that ship than anywhere in Louisiana

Bold strategy, Cotton.

Norwegian media reported gusts up to 38 knots (43 mph) and waves over 8 meters (26 feet). The area is known for its rough, frigid waters.

They have one engine running, as per the latest reports. There's also probably 100+ crewmembers who work in the engine department. My arse would be staying put until they got power restored.

A lot of houseboats don't have anchors. The size of the anchor is somewhat proportional to the size of the boat, at least for it to be effective. The anchor on the ship in trouble must be huge.

You have to be trolling right? All ships have anchors.
Houseboats?
this is a fricking cruise liner
Houseboats?

No, I want to go to Norway though. To walk around, though.

Does it become law of the jungle in a situation like that?
Am i have to start quietly pulling assassin stuff on people to eliminate me getting off that boat faster?

Every ship has at least two anchors. Contrary to popular belief, it's not the anchor that provides the majority of the holding power but the amount of chain laying on the sea floor that actually does the work

It’s all good as long as they still have alcohol.

Where’s Gene Hackman when you need him to lead the passengers to safety?
