When I was a kid I was always freaked out by La Llorona. Started telling my 4 year old the story and she was sobbing last night not wanting to get out of bed. Probably will back off until she’s 7 or so...

Since I looked it up I figured I would save others the trouble.

In Mexican folklore, La Llorona is a ghost of a woman who lost her children and now cries while looking for them in the river, often causing misfortune to those who are near or hear her.

Anytime you threaten your kids, La Llorona gets its lime.

My ancestors came from Nova Scotia, not Nuevo León, so no, never heard of it...

Is she efficient? I’ve been looking to tap into the Central American housekeeping market.

I’m not Mexican and I’m pretty sure my kids aren’t either. I just got them eating tacos last year. I think we are a ways away from full blown Mexican culture.
