You can bet on absolutely everything. Look at the super bowl. You'd be amazed at all the stupid shite they take.

A buddy of mine told me they take bets on the sunrise and sunset in Las Vegas. I never confirmed that, it just sounded crazy enough to believe.

I've never been a big wrestling fan but a friend invited me last night.
As a production, it is interesting.
The people that go can be strange to say the least. Better than people watching at an airport

FWIW this was the highest grossing event in the history of the Superdome. Consider that
which makes me shed a tear.
and also the fact that someone said it was the loudest they've ever heard the Superdome.
Now people cant say "oh its just for entertainment, no one really takes it seriously"..

find it funny that people that watch Duck Dynasty and all those other garbage reality shows on TV, yet knock stuff like this. I also find it funny that grown adults give two shits about what other grown adults do with their time. I also respect the fact that these guys mean the world to a lot of kids and some of these wrestlers go out of their way to do stuff for kids and the make a wish foundations.
I know people who have viewing parties for Duck Dynasty and Game of Thrones! Yet that is somehow acceptable by the OP.

Easily believable.
While a small part of the Dome seats were inaccessible because they were behind the stage, the entire floor was chair seating. Those tickets were like $500 and up.
Its crazy

I watched the first half of last nights show, it was the first wrestling I had seen in about 15 years. It was fun seeing guys like Hogan and Stone Cold but all of the new guys are retarded so I am back to never watching!

First 5 rows going well over $2,500. I had a seat basically what would have been behind the end zone on the other side from the stage and those were running $200.

Does anyone have a clue if both Hogan and Stone Cold calling the Superdome the Silverdome was scripted only for The Rock to come in and correct them?
Kinda struck a sour note with the crowd

Well, only the Hulk got it wrong. Stone Cold corrected him and then the Rock corrected Hulk as well.
GOD DAMN NOW I'M TALKING ABOUT WRESTLING

Probably not scripted. Those guys have been hit in the head a lot over the years, and weren't exactly the brightest to begin with
As far as noise - it was definitely loudest when Stone Cold and then The Rock came out. Comparing it to a Saints game is ludicrous though. It was nowhere near the noise level of a noon regular season game let alone a primetime or playoff.

Grown men take a seemingly vested interest in the outcome of kids playing sports. Many times for schools they didn't attend. That is every bit as strange.

Hogan simply screwed up the name of the building, hes fumbled his words more than once in his return. Austin was making fun of Hogan.
Thought that was pretty obvious.

Let me guess, you are a fan of manly men shows like True Detective, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad. I hate to ruin it for you, but wait for, make sure you are sitting down, here it comes, don't say I didn't warn you, those shows are fake and scripted too
What a stupid fricking response. Are you honestly comparing the "acting" of wrestlers to the acting of Bryan Cranston or Matthew McConaughey???
Obviously both are scripted, but the fact that these wrestling "actors" entertain anyone is beyond me........

Why do you let the entertainment of others bother you?
Do you go and smash the collections of people with model trains? Harass lepidopterists? Kick down sand castles?
Live and let live.
