Man, I was digging through files in my office last night, and I came across the clothing inventory and bail printout they gave me when I got my azz delivered to EBR. Damn near 20 years ago, but still feels like yesterday. Only spent 4 hours or so there. Would have only been in/out, but they screwed up the paperwork. Regardless, that was one of the worst and most humiliating experiences of my life.

Found out later inmate just wanted a trip out of camp J so he put his dick in the locker box and slammed it shut.
I wonder if he considered slamming it on his foot instead.

No I’m not about to go to prison but wanted to hear how it is on the inside. I don’t know what I would do with myself. I would go crazy sitting in a cell or constantly worried someone is out to get me.
Luckily not but I did work in the Atlanta Federal pen years ago for about 3 months.....that certainly made me want to avoid prison even more than I did before. It reminded me a lot of a high school gym without any of the charm. Everybody in the damned place was on edge and pissed off. Very disturbing.
We got trapped in it one evening because of weather...no shite. Heavy fog and we could not leave. We were in a lunch room on the outside of the locks...still a gruesome experience just being there.

Mid Iowa, were you POW? If so that deserves it's own thread. Please tell us more.

Who did this one?
quote:
There's a lot of strange men in cell block ten
But the strangest of them all
Was a friend of mine who spent his time
Staring at the wall
Staring at the wall
As he looked at the wall
So strong and tall
You could hear him softly curse
Nobody at all ever climbed that wall
But I'm gonna be the first
I'm gonna be the first
Well, the warden walked by and said son don't try
I'd hate to see you fall
For there is no doubt they'll carry you out
If you ever touch that wall
If you ever touch that wall
Well, a years went by since, that's the truth
Well, a years gone (them mean bastards ain't they?)
Well, a years gone by since he made his try
But I can still recall
How hard he tried and the way he died
But he never made that wall
Never made that wall
Well, there's never been a man ever shook this can
But I knew a man who tried
The newspapers called it a jailbreak plan
But I know it was suicide
I know it was suicide

I did 3 days in a Parish jail, my stupidity landed me there on a holiday weekend so there wasn’t any getting bonded out in a couple hours. I was in a cell block with around 50 other inmates that was probably originally built for 30. They all seemed to get along for the most part because I didn’t see any violence, only one argument about the microwave. It’s loud, I mean talking in public on speakerphone loud X10. The food sucked, which honestly it should. Most people go to the store to get food and drink with the money people put on their books. The worst part for me was not having anything to drink, I wasn’t drinking from a toilet/sink. It was only 3 days but it opened my eyes to a different world and people that are just built different than most civilized society.

I would never go to prison. If I do something stupid, I will be judge, jury, and executioner.

American prisons are country clubs in today's America.
This is probably the stupidest comment you will see all day.
It may be that anyone saying that shite just belongs to a really shitty country club.
Just re-read "The Animal Factory"....Edward Bunker spent about 20 or so years in California prisons. Very depressing. Don't know how people make it but they do.

One time I spent a week inside a little country jail, and I don't guess I'll ever live it down.

I went to get them out but there was no bail
The fellaz start to riot in the county jail
Two days later in municipal court
Kilo G on trial straight cold cut a fart
Disruption of a court, said the judge
On a six year sentence my man didn't budge
Bailer came over to turn him in
Kilo G looked up and gave a grin
He yelled out "FIRE!", then came Suzi
The bitch came in with a sub-machine Uzi
Police shot the bitch but didn't hurt her
Both up state for attempted murder

Yeah, I kicked a little arse
But that was a blast from the past, mothafricka
Sorry, that's all i got...

The funny thing is the actor who played Kumar loves cockmeat sandwiches now.

3 days in county starting Saturday afternoon on Easter weekend 1997.
Checked in, handed over my clothes and personal stuff got the official Franklin County wardrobe and shoes. Took me up the elevator with a few guys in the full chains feet shackles/handcuffs which made me pretty nervous about where I was going. I wasn't cuffed. Fortunately, they got out on a different floor.
Got to the cell, had about 20 bunks in it and I was on the only white guy with 14 brothers. Surprisingly, I didn't piss myself and got a few head nods and was pretty much left alone. Those guys knew my story before I even sat down; what time I arrived, which police department brought me in and why I was there. Scary shite, nothing goes unnoticed in there.
On Sunday, the brothers invited me to pray with them as they acquired a bible from somewhere, so, I did. Fortunately, we were all light offenders, they segregate the hard core offenders from the dunks/fighters and domestic kind of stuff.
A few of the worst things, when you take a piss or shite, ur doing it in front of an audience. Thank god I didn't have to shite while I was there. Had to sleep in/wear my contact lenses for three days, my eyes were dry as a desert and probably looked stoned when it was time to meet the judge.
On Monday, they moved us into cells closer to the courtroom. the packed at least thirty of us in a room that could have comfortably held ten. We were chest to chest, face to face with each other like sardines. I quickly jockeyed for a spot to put my back up against the wall. Brutal, it was hot, nobody has showered, people stink and there was a guy on the floor yanking his tool. That room was the worst part of it, probably in there two hours and guys were starting to get edgy.
