Isn't this supposed to be a standard accomplishment with modern automobiles?

I've put 147,000 on my Tacoma truck. The only thing that happened was that I was side-swiped by an 18-wheeler in 2008, but had the body repaired and kept on rolling. Don't really plan on getting another vehicle anytime soon.

Mine is around 210k.

I keep them until the repairs/maintenance get to be more expensive than replacing them. I don't want to waste money on a depreciating asset.

got 145k on a 09' Traverse. Had AC coil & front struts replaced, about $1200 total. other than that just brakes, tires, oil changes, and a tune up. Hope I get another 2-3 years out of it.

It's almost impossible to break enough shite for the repair bill to exceed the cost of a new vehicle.

Put yourself $500 in a "vehicle" account monthly. When something breaks, fix it out of that account. See how much money is there in 3 or 4 years.

05 Corolla, 145,000+. Changed tires, spark plugs, and radiator. Other than that, just oil and filter changes. Gonna need some brake pads soon.

Got a 94 Land Cruiser with over 280k haven't had to do anything except for preventive maintenance.

My dads got a 2007 Tacoma with over 380,000. That damn truck has been through hell and only has had oil changes.

Gonna keep them til 1million and get new trucks from Toyota for free
