Obviously, I do/did. There are 40-ish or so snake species found in Louisiana. Besides the shear number of species, some of them have very limited ranges in the state so this guy would have had to have been a pretty well traveled person in his youth to capture/keep them all. Now throw in the 25 or so species of turtle, which does include sea turtles, so throw them out and you're left with about 20 turtle species.
Now, it is completely possible I assumed "type" meant species rather than a broader use of the term.

I have a veiled chameleon, a leopard gecko, 2 red eared sliders and 3 dogs (not exotic at all)
The chameleon is cool but I spend more a month on his crickets than I do on all 3 dog's food combined. That dude will hunt the heck out of them and eats at least 10 a day. Plus, you have to drip wate since they won't drink from a bowl.

I didn't own one but my cousin is a wildlife expert out in Oregon and she found an abandoned baby black bear in the woods that she was permitted to raise and care for. I got to babysit it during the afternoons for a few days when I went to visit her a couple summers ago.
That little guy was the shite. His claws hurt like hell though. And he shat like crazy.
