Suspend sprayed on the wood surfaces works. The concentration is in the instructions. It does have to be reapplied periodically but it kills the carpenter bees even when you are not there with a tennis racket and a 12 pack of beer (who buys 6 packs anymore?).

I have a finch which lives in my garage. I don't like him too much anymore because now I can't leave the top down on my convertible.

There was a one block long street near a funeral home (in Metairie I think), instead of a "Dead End" sign for the street the sign was "No Exit".
