Those kinda symptoms hit me around 45 but it was after a mosquito bite gave me some kinda virus.

Never saw anyone about it or took any tests to see whether West Nile or something else. My trouble sleeping though was too much sleep until I got over whatever virus that was. Took like 3 weeks and I still will break out in sweats occasionally for 3-4 minutes about 10 years later.

My Father in Law was in his 60's when he was diagnosed. He was not overweight, he's always been pretty thin.

It's been very debilitating for him.

You're painting the picture of someone with hyperthyroidism. I'm sure the doctor you go to will check your TSH.

I don't know type 1 Vs type 2...however, diabetes can certainly be brought on by medications. One of my coworkers had one of his normal meds cause a rash. Physician ended up prescribing something for the rash, which drove his sugar up through the roof and had him classified as a diabetic until they got it all sorted out.

The immune systems of people with type 1 diabetes continue to attack beta cells until the pancreas is incapable of producing insulin. People with type 1 diabetes need to inject themselves with insulin to compensate for the death of their beta cells. Everyone with type 1 diabetes is insulin-dependent.

Type 2 diabetes was also called non-insulin-dependent diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is often a milder form of diabetes than type 1. ... With Type 2 diabetes, the pancreas usually produces some insulin. But either the amount produced is not enough for the body's needs, or the body's cells are resistant to It. You can still eventually need insulin with Type 2 but typically managed with diet, meds, and exercise

How old are you now? Are you still fat? You've got to cut out the HFCS and processed carbs.

I'm still fat, but my blood sugar has dropped off a cliff since I cut out the carbs and HFCS.

You can do it.

I know one person, a female MD, very slender and health conscious. She believes medication prescribed for a bipolar episode caused it. And sorry,no pics. But she's very nice looking

I’m an insulin dependent diabetic that was diagnosed around age 45. 6’2” and 210 lbs so nowhere near obese. I’m officially diagnosed as Type I even though the onset was later in life. It took a long time to get my meds right and I now have an A1C of 6.6 which is damned good for a diabetic.

I aways forget which one is related to body fat. I have a 14% body fat reading which should rule out that relationship.

If you're a girl, pics?

If not, it cannot be obesity related.

If its not related to your weight(fat mass) its not type 2 diabetes. You should go see another doc

Wrong. I'm 37, 5' 11", 180 #s and my A1C is in the pre-diabetes range. Actually going back next Thursday for another semi-annual physical and round of bloodwork.

Check your thyroid. Probably have an under active thyroid. I’m speaking from experience because I had the same thing.

Had a bunch of issues with it since I was 15. Very young to be diagnosed. It never really goes away. Change your diet and wait for the rollercoaster.

Do you have mood swings or are irritable? Could have developed Hashimotos which is an anti-immune disease which destroyed my thyroid.
