Was going to pack up the bikes, but the golf cart would be fun and functional as well. I don't have one of those trashy jacked up ones...just wondering if they are allowed in the little communities. Staying in Dune Allen, and it would be clutch for bringing gear to and from the beach.

ETA: Found this thread on their local forum.

If you drive on a public road it must be street legal.

Can't be driven on roads with greater than 35 mph. All kinds of other rules to in FL like must be insured.

Here's a good reference for you.

LSVs in FL

I have lights, horn, mirrors...but there's no such thing as street legal where I live so IDK.

LSVs are different from golf carts, eh?

Hope not. Don't need that middle "I think I'm wealthy" class trash mucking up Rosemary, Alys, and Watercolor.

Golf carts are considered LSVs in FL.

Lights, horn seatbelts, insurance, title, etc. If you have all that bring it down.

The problem is the 35 mph rule. I work 1 mile from my house and looked into getting a golf cart but I'd have to cross and drive on a 45 mph road for .25 miles and that killed the deal. I don't want to deal with the police for that shite.

ETA: Technically, yes, golf carts are different from LSVs.

I wonder if they put those dumbass 30A stickers on those too?

What's worse, a yeti sticker or a 30A sticker?

Yup. It's been ruined too. The last sleepy beach town in FL won't last much longer either.

I'm surprised no one has said "30A? Subtle brag..." The OT is slipping.

People with 30A stickers need to have their windows broken. No one gives a frick where you vacation.

Don't worry. He's staying in Dune Allen, which is the poor man section of 30A and not really close to Watercolor and definitely not near alys or Rosemary.

I assumed they were becoming more popular since they are over this way, BSL, for sure.

We've stayed everywhere and we aren't the 'dress your family up to go out and act rich' people at all. Dune Allen has a nicer beach than Seaside if you aren't trying to be seen.

My family did our family vacation in Dune Allen in the 70's, 80's and early 90's. Great times.

I'd take dune Allen over those crowded arse places any day. Rosemary/seaside/watercolor have to be the most overrated vacation spots in Florida. I prefer having a beach to myself rather than dealing with three deep beaches. Rosemary represents everything that is wrong with 30A now.
