I actually look forward to it.
If death is final, I won't know.
If there is an afterlife, I wanna experience it...

Not personally, just afraid of the affect on my family. I’m not a nihilist or anything I’m just at peace and okay with whatever.
I think.
I think.

I'm 50. Yeah Im not ready to go. But I'm not afraid of it. I believe both my parents were ready to go when they did. The older I get the more I'm accepting of it

I gained a fear of heights as I got older but that's about it.

Do you have progeny and do they have progeny? You did your job as have the thousand previous generations. You were born to eventually die.

It is going to happen as no one makes it out alive,
For me, faith makes me not fearful of death. My trust is in the Lord, and my belief is that upon dying, everything will instantly be a million times better than the best day of your life. That is the life we are intended to share with God.
That said, Leaving behind loved ones and knowing they will have to suffer grief is something that is unbearable to think about.
I have cancer and have thought about it quite a bit, considering my condition, but I have arrived at a place where I do not fear dying, and it presents me with a feeling of absolute freedom. If that makes sense.

What’s the point? When you’re dead, you won’t know it.
What you’re afraid of is not knowing how you will die.
What you’re afraid of is not knowing how you will die.

Its weird for me. I know its part of life, at some point it happens to everyone. That's just how it is and no one can do anything about it.
But then I think about it in terms of "at some point, could be 3 mins from now could be 30 years from now I will be dead". That's when I become afraid of it so it just depends on my mindset at the time whether or not I am afraid of it.

Me, frick death…
Of the non-existent, there is no coming to be
Of the existent, there is no ceasing to be
For the one who is born, death is certain
And certain is birth, for the one who has died
Of the non-existent, there is no coming to be
Of the existent, there is no ceasing to be
For the one who is born, death is certain
And certain is birth, for the one who has died

If I ever get diagnosed with als I will just kill myself
My mom was officially diagnosed in November, although in September it was a "it very likely you have als" situation.
She has gone down fast. If assisted suicide was legal in Louisiana she would have gone that route, but she stopped driving in October. So this time of year last year she was driving, running her errands etc. She wasn't able to go on her daily walks anymore, but she was still saying at this point "I wish they will find out what this is so I can get it taken care of and go with life"..
Today she is on hospice, has a feeding tube, can't talk, her hands are all but useless, etc. Its the worse thing to see someone go through. I honestly think that there should be a certain point in the process where a doctor can say "okay we can assist you with moving on to the afterlife".
Its selfish to even think "I don't want them to die". I wish she would sooner than later because I know she is suffering and its difficult to see.

I'll keep her in my prayers Chris

I’m 37 and think way too much for this. I’ve been saved by Jesus Christ but am not worthy.

Someone died for all of the crappy stuff you did and are gonna do. It wasn't a picnic for Him. Nothing you do can buy you a "Stairway to Heaven". We are heathens and will always be. But, the big guy upstairs gave us hope. Hope reminds me of Shawshank Redemption .It can be a blessing and a curse.
My words - Believe in Something. Be unafraid of Death. Love Someone.

Ever since I've lost my family and have spent a decade alone I really don't give a shite.
