It's something that is unavoidable, and happen to everyone no matter how good you are, how rich your are or how good looking your are.

You cannot bargain or buy your way out of it. You cannot upgrade to a better version of it.

And I personally believe what 's on the other side is the perfection we are made for.

Death is only the body giving birth to the soul.

not even a little bit.
I won’t know when I’m dead, I won’t miss anything and I won’t be afraid. Because I’ll be dead

I'm not. I worry about a PAINFUL death, but not death itself. In fact, if I'm looking at the possibility of a slow, painful death with cancer or something, I'll get my financial affairs in order, hand everything to my sons, then fly to a state where medically assisted death is legal and finish it. I cared for my wife at home through her hospice. Seeing what she went through, I'm not spending my last days like that.

It’s simple once you realize that no amount of fear is going to change anything. Nobody’s getting out alive, so just buckle up and enjoy the ride.

I'm not afraid of death. I'm 68, so a lot closer to it these days. My lack of fear comes from my faith. Being closer to the end has made my faith stronger; I pray more, especially for other people, and am enjoying studying the Bible daily. The Psalms and the New Testament are filled with wisdom that is comforting.

It’s just natural to die. That’s why you need to enjoy every day and not waste them because no matter how healthy you are you still will end up dead like the rest of us.

Based on what we know from NDE's it seems to be pretty peaceful. Whether it's real or just the brain going haywire, who knows, but at least it's not scary.

not the least bit afraid of death itself, the process itself is another matter. what I mean is I'm not afraid of death but my worst case scenario would be being incapacitated to the point that I require assistance to live; like being paralyzed for example.

Yeah I dont mind death but don’t want to suffer especially like where Im crippled. If I ever get diagnosed with als I will just kill myself because I would never want to be trapped to a chair and have to use my eyes in a machine to communicate. I also wouldn’t want my family to have to give up their lives to care for me like that. They can honor me by living their own lives.

But you should be. I think every human being with even a wisp of consciousness is deep down terrified of death-- and it's not just a religious thing.

Shakespeare expresses my thoughts the best:

"To sleep, perchance to dream
ay, there's the rub."

The answer seems obvious but think about it: Do you want to know WHEN or would you want to know HOW? If I know how, mabe I could do something to change what ever happens?
