One of my best friends from elementary & high school married a Filipino a couple of years ago. She still lives there, he is trying to get the paperwork so she can move to the States, he's hoping by Christmas.

My 2nd wife was a Philipina. Beautiful sexy woman. Graduated cum laude from nursing school and worked hard. She was a lot of fun most of the time.
She didn't cook much like her older sisters; they cooked the traditional food at family gatherings, along with an older brother who did whole pigs in a ground pit.
She was pleasant 90% of the time, but that 10% ... I wasn't perfect and she was unforgiving; bad combo right there.

My buddy married a girl from the Philippines and it did not go well. He's a cop making a cop salary and she was jealous bc her other mail order bride friends all made more money than them. I think the marriage lasted 2 years.
EDIT: As another poster said, they'll take care of the house, but you pretty much have to do everything else for them. Even while they were going through a divorce, my buddy had to drive her everywhere and do everything for her because she could barely speak English & she had no job. Felt terrible for him.

My wife is a filipina and it's the best decision of my life. She treats me like a king. Get a good one and you are set for life.

So….about half the stories are “best decision ever” and about half are nightmares. Sounds like Filipina women are women like any other women. Some men are always wanting an “easy” button.

They are slowly getting Westernized and becoming feminists. They are still probably 30-40 years behind the US women though. Still better than American women. They have very little divorce in the Philippines. If no fault divorce becomes available there it’ll change that whole society within 5-10 years.

It will be exponentially faster for them as they already view it as a business decision. American women took awhile to get to thst culture

I married three during my four year stint at Clark AB to draw extra money from the USAF. I left them there when I departed the Air Force. Wonder what happened to them?
Seriously that was a scam that a lot of active duty GIs were doing. Marry one, draw extra money for dependents and then when they exited the service they just left them there.
