One was watching a fellow I knew who lived across the bayou from me. He asked me if he could set up in my trees to observe the guy. I talked to him a while and he actually showed me a duffle bag full of spy gear. Illegal tap machine for landline phone,telephoto lens,disguises , all kinds of shite. I don’t know why but he told me who he worked for but he did. While telling me this stuff I think he realized that he had fricked up. Proceeded to subtly threaten that if I blew his cover that he would ruin my life. I ran him off. Monday morning I had a discussion with his boss. PI’s ain’t supposed to get their cover blown. He got fired. Frick him.

I had a buddy do it for a short time.
He worked for a insurance company taking video of people who were supposed to be gravely injured doing things like cut the grass and go to the lake and ski.
He got caught by a baw one time hiding in the woods and felt lucky to escape uninjured.
The insurance company did not allow a weapon of any kind.
He quit shortly after.
