Yep. Jefferson and Perkins looked like Highland road back then.

Yes. Because Hundred Oaks, Old Goodwood, Southdowns, Tara, and Bocage will all go to shite because of proposed municipality that is still 5-10 years away from even establishing a school district.

If anything St. George will help these areas.

Jefferson Hwy with no traffic light to turn left? Good luck with that.

We live in Westminster, across Jefferson from Berkeley Hill. Berkeley Hill looks like a great little one street neighborhood. Except for that little no traffic light thing. It would make me insane trying to turn left onto Jefferson from there. There is a little neighborhood one block down on the same side of Jefferson that does have a light. It’s at Old Bluebonnet. It also looks like a nice neighborhood.

We love living in Westminster. Good people and if you frequently need to be in various parts of BR the location can’t be beat. Easy access to just about all the major routes. Just a couple minutes away from 10, 12, Airline, Essen, Bluebonnet, and Seigen. Very convenient.

Bluebonnet was a pasture, as was Siegen (complete w a chicken coop near perkins) and most of Essen. Cullin's/Capitol Schwinn were about it. Taco Bell and Rax were hot new things. Miss that BR.

As someone that supports St.G but lives in BR proper, there are still plenty of great neighborhoods to raise a family that won’t be in the newly formed St. George.

Fake News. Bocage is the Alamo. When it falls, Baton Rouge falls.

I can remember when Essen was literally a gravel, tree-covered, lane.

Didn’t see your response until just now. We are out of town until next week. Maybe a beer for the CWS.

Yea it's a good neighborhood. I slanged the pizza to it since it was new in 90s.

It's still pretty upscale. Lots of Old people live there on the back street(connected townhomes).

Shitty portion of recently incorporated City of BR. Since it it was recently incorporated, you're going to pay city taxes for BRFD protection as well as SGFD millage (voted in before BR annexed it in.) You're better off moving to a street that will be in St. George once it incorporates.

That's what I just said. BR annexed it, but not before the SGFD millage was passed. That means until the millage expires, anyone living there will pay both the millage and taxes for the City of BR.
