Since we are talking addiction today. I can’t quit these things. Was never a smoker but chewed some Nicorette while having drinks one night and was hooked. Gradually switched over to Zyn pouches and here we are.

I see we're getting our trashy topics out of the way early today.

You gotta get off them baw

Just get on regular dip. You gotta hide it from everybody so you don’t get too hooked. If you can secretly use nicotine all the time then there’s no reason not to have a zyn in like 18 hours a day and it’s not good for your brain

I often wondered if those things would get a non-smoker hooked.
Makes sense. Glad I never tried any.

I’m turning into a degenerate. It’s out of control when you are stuffing two 6mg pouches on the bottom and two on the top. My longest streak of quitting was one day. And I never really considered myself as having an addictive personality.

Nah. I can't rememnber if it's Zyn but there was one nicotine pouch that was prety crappy, but another I tried had better mouthfeel and flavers so I used those a while.

I dipped a lot in my younger days, about a can a day from late high school well into college.
Quit that and switched to camel snus which I did for over a decade. If I was awake and not eating or sleeping I likely had a snus in.
After baby was born at the end fo 2020 I quit those and did nicotine pouches but they just weren't really the same.
Ditched those and started using "grinds" coffee pouches. Basically coffee grinds in a pouch with flavor. Those were aight but got tired of thsoe too.
Eventaully after the tobacco and nicotine cravings went away it was more so abotu the mouth habit, which eventaully went away as well. Haven't had any tobacco/nicotine/pouch of any kind in well over a year.

Let me see if I have this thread correct.

A poster never used tobacco but became addicted to products that are meant to cure tobacco addiction and now people are recommending he use tobacco to break this habit?

This place is amazing.

A little nicotine is great for focus while you are reading or performing any other focused task. Some writers get inspiration from lighting up a cigarette. It gives you that alert effect if you are dragging.

I like the Smooth because it has no flavor just the effect.

for someone who's never dipped, what's the benefit of using pouches vs gum?

Pouches are less than half the price. I like to pop one in right before a meeting I know will be long and boring.
