Sorry to hear. Been a long 5 months for yall I'm sure.
If I'm in your brother's shoes, I wouldn't want to live the post-accident life it sounds like he probably had ahead of him. I know people do it, but it looks like hell on earth to me.

I had an accident earlier this year. I woke up in the hospital on a vent and couldn't walk. I did PT and now I'm almost back to my old self. It took a while,
That reminds me. I went the grocery store when I was first walking again and someone thought I was drunk. They called the police and a cop showed up at my house. I was like "do you realize I couldn't walk a few weeks ago" and the guy left.
I also had the weordest visions. I almost died, so I don't if it was a near death experience or what it was.

I clicked this thread to tell about my mom who technically broke her neck and survived but had issues until she died.
Then I saw the x-ray and knew this wasn't the same thing. I immediately assumed your brother had days if not hours. Then I realized this was a bump, and in fact your bro gave you 5 whole months of hope. And then I hoped you'd find comfort there. He fought like absolute hellfire. RIP
