That and I could not find the car I was looking for in the area. You can search their inventory to find exactly what you want. The car I was looking for was about 500 miles away at another Carmax. They shipped it over for free, I test drove it with no obligation, and bought it. No regrets. If you want the best deal and don't care too much about the specific car then look elsewhere.

Carmax and Carvana are the two best sources to purchase a vehicle if you have limited knowledge of cars and how to check for trouble spots.

Know your strengths and weaknesses. In all areas of life. You may pay a little more but they will stand behind their product.

My dad bought and SUV from Carmax that was a one owner and had a clean Carfax. He asked me to go down and pick it up and when I looked it over, I found that the rear quarter panel and rear bumper had been repaired. The rear wheel well even had a new skin inside it with a few missing plastic pop rivits not installed. The manager admitted that his guys missed it and immediately refunded my dads money and gave him a significant amount of money off any car he bought from them in the next 30 days. They sent the wrecked SUV off to auction and said it did not meet their standards.

I’m going to look at enterprise when I get ready to buy again. They have a decent inventory with low to medium mileage. I rented a car a couple months ago and I asked the lady there about it. She gave me a card with her name and a $1000 discount

Yeah if you like paying $3000 more that market price due to "no haggle."

I like the setup online and shopping on the app.

Same here. Bought an almost new jeep there about 5yrs ago there. Punched in the color, mileage, and options i wanted. They brought it in from one of there other lots a week later from 2 states away i think

But im not one to haggle with a salesman for weeks like some people either. I have friends who love that process though lol

I always use Car Max to see what my trade in value is.

I’ve done this a couple of times and this alone is worth it. I had one when they told me what they would pay I called my wife to come pick me up and bring a bag so I could get my shite out of it. They could have it.

High volume dealer, low price with very little to zero negotiation on price.

You look at the car, you want at their price, good. If not, move along and have nice day.

Texas Direct Auto has a similiar model (hassle free) and felt they had better prices and better offers buying your car. I sold them a truck and it was as pain free as it gets.

Car max has a history of selling unsafe cars.

That's not surprising to me at all. Carmax has always appeared a bit shady to me. I just wouldn't trust a major corporation whose sole purpose is to sell used cars from across the country.

I've bought 2 vehicles from them. Good experience and a good price. You can have cars transferred from other location up to 150 miles with no charge. You can also test drive as many as you like. Everything is certified so less of a chance you get a lemon.

I haven't, but it seems that all of my employees buy there, and they love it. Seems to be a great shopping experience, and they love the service they get. One guy's starter went out last week. CarMax towed the car and fixed it, and because they had a back-up in their service department, they gave him a rental.

Seems like they know how to do used cars.

i didnt buy but recently sold a car there. was in and out in 30 minutes. Gave me right in middle of what kelly blue book trade in value was. So i imagine their buying process would be smooth as well.
