Anyone hear of any plants going to essential personnel only?

In our safety meeting this morning we were told that there has been a few local (B.R.) plants reducing the amount of people allowed in and that we should prepare for that possibility.

No one knew which plants have done this though locally.

Heard anything like that?

Waiting to hear update this am. Rumors are essential personnel only. Being essential, not sure how I feel about that. Would much prefer they bottle it up and shutdown, but that isn't likely.

Yes.

Then again nearly every industry has heard similar.

I fully anticipate being asked to work remotely.

Actually shutting down?
Or only essential personnel?

Shut down is pretty drastic.

I hope so. Locked in and on the clock. I’ve already volunteered.

We're cutting rates way back and an email came out this weekend telling people how to set up call forwarding to work from home. Wouldn't be surprised to be getting some unpaid time off here soon

I have a buddy who works at rubicon that was talking about this over the weekend. If it does shut down to essential personnel will the non essential still get paid?

Were still running at 100%. All office personnel working from home, but one person in each department. Today is my day to be in the office

I would think. I work for one of the majors and that's usually how it goes.

We've been making plans to send non essentials home. I'm expecting to hear an update today. We have a small ops crew and it wouldn't take much to put us shorthanded with the swiftness.

We started no visitors unless essential last week. Cutting back project contractors to jobs considered critical.

Still normal for now at my site. I'm expecting them to move to essential personnel and minimal maintenance staffing soon. Some key projects and TA's in progress would most likely keep moving forward.

Full strength as of now. If they end up asking for volunteers to stay here for a few weeks I'm game.
