I’ve never paid for amazon prime. I fake a student email from this website I got, get the 6 month free trial, then at the end of it just chat with them to close my account and re up again. It’s worked for years.

On the flip side, I wouldn’t mind paying if that means I don’t have to go out in public and get what I want. The 2 day shipping is awesome, but if it’s not here in 2 days then oh well. The return process is pretty easy.

Yes.....today they said it would be here by 8 pm. Right after 8 I get the "we're sorry your package is late............please come back Sunday if you still don't have it and we'll help you out." when I check the status on the app. UPS tracking on the Amazon app says it left Louisville KY at 3:28 pm and that was the last entry. I guess it got lost in a black hole in route to ATL. No big deal...just a silly Xmas tree the wife wants. I hope they lose it so I won't have to put it up.

Yep. It is getting pretty shitty. I cancelled an order yesterday that was not going to arrive until the 27th. I ordered it on the 15th. Prime means nothing to some sellers. Amazon needs to tighten them up.

Yes, we have. Mr. CT had a not-so-friendly chat with their customer service dept. last night. Seems this is happening more and more lately.

It may advertise as Prime but the specific product may come from 2nd party fulfillment and not prime. Check when you click. Also, the only time I've had a problem is when it's been delivered by USPS. Incompetent. I can't believe they would use them.

if being delivered by USPS then you have your answer

Worst decision Amazon ever made was to get in bed with the Post Office

Shipped on Amazon doesn't mean actually shipped. It means itbwas stamped with a shipping label. Theres a chance it missed the truck. The location may have changed because the algorithm decided,to ship it out of another facility that could either ship it faster or ship at a lower cost.

Either way there are a couple efforts at the corporate level that are filtering down to the facilities right now and slamming most of them with more volume than they are prepared to handle mechanically. Its generally not a UPS thing at this point. Theres no way Amazon could break them BEFORE the holiday sales start

If you live in the BR area, I can pretty guarantee your issue is with the UPS location in Port Allen. They are absolutely worthless. My folks have had multiple packages lost, damaged, or delivered to the wrong address.

Don’t blame Amazon. Blame shitty USPS. Have you seen the employees at those shite holes? Competent isn’t a word they often use in the workforce.

How do you not blame Amazon? It is their choice to use usps or whatever delivery service they decide. They should be held accountable first and foremost.

Constantly late if the package ever gets in the hands of the USPS. If it's UPS or FedEx it's always on time.

I think people are buying prime expecting two day, then not reading the shipping times. For instance I bought something prime yesterday, but it's not expected to ship until next week.

This. If it doesn't ship till next week, two day shipping doesn't really mean much. You gotta check the date it's actually gonna ship.

Isn’t Amazon starting their own freight airline soon?

It's been going down hill for me for the last year or so. I always order Prime items fullfiled by Amazon. Used to get them in two days. Now it's five. Just ordered something on a Wednesday and was at least expecting it by Saturday, nope Monday was the "expected" delivery. Sent them an email, they say oh we'll overnight it to you. If they can overnight it, why can't I get just get it two days like Prime was supposed to do?

I’ve asked them several times to stop using USPS to deliver, the USPS sucks balls, and customer service is non existent.

I have had issues and am 99% sure it is related to Amazons increasing use of Third Party sellers. The stuff fulfilled from Amazon seems to be good as ever but, and you have to really look at the listing to catch it, some items don’t come from Amazon. They are just sold through the site. Those vendors don’t seem to be as worried about the Prime shipping

It says "Ships from and sold by..." and you choose your vendor.

Third party sellers aren't part of Prime unless they ship their inventory to Amazon and Amazon handles the shipping. If there are multiple vendors on a listing, you choose which vendor you want.

I don't use Amazon much at all after the sales tax was added. Luckily if you buy through an independent seller on there or eBay you avoid it.
