That's a lot. I break the .5mg tabs in half and it still puts me on my arse (if I haven't taken any in a while). Of course you build up tolerance which is one of the problems with benzos in general.

Yep. I used to be on .5mg but my doctor trusts me and gave me 1mg. I could slice it but would probably lose a bunch with bits and pieces going everywhere.

Yeah it’s pretty shitty.

I’m currently on fluoxetine, olanzapine, buspirone, and hydroxizine.

That combo is FDA approved for bipolar depression. Better watch out as olanzapine will pack the weight on you.

I did Klonopin (.5 mgs as needed) and Lexapro (between 10 and 20 mgs) for a few years. Also generalized anxiety and depression. As others have said, regular exercise is a wonderful treatment, but usually it’s the last thing you want to do when you’re depressed. If it helps, I was nervous at first to tell my friends about it, but so glad it did. Came to find that almost everyone I knew was either on an SSRI/benzo, had been on one, or had a close family member on one. When I told my former preacher, a very well-adjust and seemingly well put together person in every way, told me he was on it for years. Really helped to ease my mind about it. You’re definitely not alone, and it can absolutely get better.

I have anxiety/depression.
Depression comes and goes, but it’s been beating me down lately. Really, really beating me down
Anxiety is managed with a klonopin script that really helps a lot

I think I was born depressed, and I'm not kidding. Life has always seemed joyless to me. Thankfully I don't have anxiety.

Yeah there’s just so much stigma. Good job.

Ween yourself off the meds and join a coed adult kickball league. Baton Rouge has a good scene that my friend is in and here in Orlando it rocks.

Lots of fun, lots of strange. It's a great combo of exercise and socializing.

I dated an italian girl who took me to their italian-american club with bocce and it was a blast too but it was a mix of dago hipsters and old italian dudes. Solid food and bar in that place.

Bocce is making a comeback big time. But kickball is less pretentious with more chicks dtf.

Lots of us do. Some of us just know how to control it better than others

I think we men are anxious and depressed because we evolved to be out riding fences (figuratively but sometimes literally), directly providing food, and in general living harder and shorter lives than we lead now, which greatly reduced the amount of time we had for navel-gazing and worrying about things we couldn’t do anything about.

I’m not sure what the answer is.

It's something I struggle with. I find that exercising, and just doing shite works. I know it sounds idiotic, but just do one thing and use it as an excuse to do another.

Sometimes the depression will have me downright worn out. Anxiety gets me sometimes but most of the time, it's not too bad. Worst part is my wife acts like she understands it, but she jas no clue.

Absolutely. It’s a real problem. Doesn’t seem to discriminate between “successful” and “unsuccessful” people either.
